BIO
Ale Vale, short for Alessandra Valentini,(formerly known as Salena Angel) is a world-traveled artist, spiritual force, stand-up comedian, and performer based in San Francisco. Originally from Rome, Italy, she received formal academic training in fine arts and graphic design.
Her provocative, multidimensional work has been showcased internationally, with exhibitions spanning major cultural hubs including Rome, London, Amsterdam, Miami, Los Angeles, Sedona, and San Francisco.
Over the past decade, Ale Vale’s creative journey took a strikingly prophetic turn.
After a period spent painting hairless alien figures, she began experiencing alopecia—a deep physical transformation that felt as though she had unknowingly predicted her own future.
Rather than retreating, she channeled this shift into her creative core, standing fiercely in her truth and using her artwork to challenge societal standards around identity, vulnerability, and beauty.
Her visual technique is as dynamic and tactile as her subject matter. Blending oil and acrylic paints with mixed media and papier-mâché, Ale Vale crafts rich, three-dimensional textures on canvas. This sculptural approach breathes visceral life into her pieces, allowing them to project physically into the viewer's space.
For years, her lens has focused on uncovering the thriving underbelly of San Francisco’s emerging sex culture. With raw intensity, she peels away the taboos of human desire, exposing the unvarnished truth of the private boudoir.
From 2012 to 2020, she expanded this vision through Artgasmica—a celebrated, eight-year series of expressive erotic figure drawing classes. She encouraged models and students to express their fantasies through edgy, non-traditional poses and kinky props, creating a profoundly healing space for sexual actualization until the 2020 lockdowns brought the in-person course to a close.
Today, whether through her Artgasmica mixed-media collection, her stand-up comedy, or her performance art, Ale Vale strips away judgment and myths. She remains an unstoppable creative force, inviting us all to step courageously into our own authenticity and liberation.
